Who is the Uniondale Belle?

Hey Y'all, That is a great question. The Uniondale Belle is the name I chose because it reminds me of who I am, where I come from and where I want to go. She is a aesthetic that I want to strive to endow a little bit of into every project I tackle. Uniondale is the name of the unincorporated community in which I grew up in south Georgia. It is where my family still lives and it is a shout out to all the people throughout my life who have supported me, lifted me up, loved me and helped to make me into the person I am today. Since I am a born and bred southerner the belle part of the name just fits. I am so proud of where I was raised and even though I now am living in Colorado which is beautiful, and breathtaking and amazing in its own right. I felt the need to represent the place that made me, me! I will share a little bit more with you later about the women I think of that are represented by my logo in a later post.

The purpose of this blog is to introduce myself and the new endeavor I am embarking on. My Name is Traci Merchant, I am graphic designer and owner here at Uniondale Belle Designs. I have always had an interest in photography and art and the opportunity to share those gifts with all of you is exciting!
